hi there,
so ya its been a while but i been bit busy up here in ye olde holy land. its pretty cool though, well i should say its been pretty hot acutally. the sun over here seems, well, different, more dangerous. i don't think its cuz its that much hotter either, its that its just more potent sun or something. since i've been here i've had heat stroke probably half a donzen times if not more. and that while staying clear of the sun, drinking tons of bloody water and eating plenty of salt to keep that water in me. the only times i'm in the sun are on the way to work and then back home. but i mean that's maybe half an hour each way. i wait maybe 5, 10 minutes for the bus in the morning, then when i get off at damascus gate i walk like for another 5 minutes to the other bus depot where i catch the second bus. then i get off and walk like another 5 minutes the rest of the way to the office. and then sometimes to get a break from the florescent lights of the office i stand in the wind on a balcony right outside my room. but like for the duration of a song of two (like 4 minurtes). either i'm a super weakling, totally possible, or the sun here is killer.
